If you’ve been online for sometime you have probably built up enough organic traffic and don’t need to spend money on paid advertising in order to attract traffic to your website, but for most new websites they have no choice – it’s either pay to get some traffic to their new website or go bankrupt waiting for the customers to arrive….

Problem is, it’s not so easy as merely placing an ad in a local paper or purchasing some radio or TV advertising slots – with a lot of online advertising there is often no set price, and this is true for the major form of online advertising –  search engine advertising (such as “Google AdWords”). The other problem with this “Auction” style system of purchasing advertising is that you will never really know from one month to the next  what your next month’s advertising budget will need to be – it may go down in future, but it is far more likely to go up in price as more new competitors arrive on the scene……

But the biggest problem with search engine advertising? – It’s usually quite costly and unless you really know what you are doing it can  often provide poor ROI when compared to other advertising.
